In the nutrient modeller, curly brackets "{" and "}" are used to reference other nutrients whereas square brackets "[" and "]" are used to reference worksheet items for those cases where a nutrient depends on an animal specific parameter such as rumen outflow rate. Ratios, such as energy density, are defined by using the ":" symbol.
